Lifestyle | 20 Blog Posts I Loved In June

Hello Lovelies! June has been a really odd one, and a really sad one too. I've found myself putting on my super sparkly in your face unicorn socks, downing lattes by the gallon and just wanting to switch off from the world for a bit. I've also (for all you nosey people out there) been on dates with the loveliest guy, who has so far not turned out to either be a jerk or a creep - this is a actually a miracle. But that aside, let's get down to celebrating some of the amazing bloggers out there, and ultimately giving you all the reason in the world to procrastinate. I know I'm the best. So go on grab a cup of tea or coffee, and get your reading game on. There will be links, many links, be prepared people.

Lifestyle | Dear Immigrants, You Are Very Welcome Here

Hello Lovelies! My mind recently has cast back to my childhood. It's a time I will remember fondly, because it is an era in my life where it felt like race, religion or whether you were an immigrant or not just didn't really matter. My primary school was mixed, with people of all colours, religion and backgrounds. In fact when people from other countries joined our school, it always felt like a good thing. I remember a French girl joining our class, and there was a flurry of excitement and curiosity. We were curious about France, about whether they really wore berets and carried baguettes, and if double cheek kissing really was the norm. It actually didn't even matter that her English wasn't the best, we cared more that she felt accepted and fitted in easily. Her broken English was just more motivation for us to help her fit in.

Home | The Monday Home Edit (27th June - 3rd July)

Hello Lovelies! Hmm, I'm going to be honest with you guys last week was a bad blogging week for me. So much has been going on in the world lately that I've found it hard to just sit down and feel inspired. That is writer's block for you, and perhaps a lesson in why planning ahead is a really good idea. But hey, negativity aside I'm really pleased with this week's picks - blue is such a calming colour don't you think? Picks are from Anthropologie, West Elm and Luke Arthur Wells.

Beauty | Makeup Revolution Colour Chaos Salvation Palette

Hello Lovelies! If you follow me on Instagram or Twitter (both @vvnightingale) then you'll know that I've decided to shake things up a little bit with my photography. Honestly out of every part of blogging, taking photos is the part that has become a little boring for me, because I've been doing the same basic photos for a while now. So as a change I've picked up some gorgeous backgrounds (went a bit crazy and bought loads), like this parrot one to hopefully bring a bit more fun and colour to my blog so I hope you guys like it! I mean how can you not love these crazy colourful parrots?

Home | The Monday Home Edit (20th June - 26th June)

Hello Lovelies! Ok so I'm a little in love with this week's Monday Home Edit because pretty florals EVERYWHERE. It's funny because it's making me feel all bright and Summer-y and yet London is still under a blanket of rain. Like seriously apparently it's the first official day of Summer, but it might as well be Winter here! Anyways, this week's picks are from Modcloth, M&S and Papermash (Rifle Paper Co).

Lush | Superdad Bath Bomb

Hello Lovelies! In the UK, it's Father's Day which means that it's about time I reviewed Lush's Superdad Bath Bomb (£3.95). I've never really talked about this on my blog, but I'm super close with my dad - he's one of those super likeable, high fives your friends kind of dads. Like seriously my dad is cool, in a adorable kind of way. So long story short I actually gave him one of these for Father's Day because surprisingly he is a big Lush bath bomb fan. Like father like daughter, huh?

Lifestyle | Five Paid Game Apps That Are Totally Worth It

Hello Lovelies! With an abundance of free apps at our finger tips, it seems pretty foolish to splash out on one but with today's post I'll be sharing with you five games that are totally worth spending your money on! It's not something that has really ever featured on my blog but I'm actually a big fan of games, and have been obsessed with Pokemon, Animal Crossing, Sims and really just anything Nintendo for as long as I remember. So I've had a whole lot of fun trying out all these games, and honestly it just surprises me nowadays how amazing some of the games you can get on your phone are! Sound like an old lady, but technology these days is crazy kids! Wasn't like this in the 90's at all.

Beauty | Zoella Bath Latte

Hello Lovelies! I'm writing this post from my duvet fort, half awake with a cold cup of coffee by my bed. Basically I've given up on being productive and have just decided to become a full time sloth - parents are very proud of course... Jokes aside though, I've been pretty under the weather lately and horribly sluggish so my duvet is my best friend right now, and honestly I could do with a bit of TLC. With that in mind I decided to pick up some of Zoella's Bath Latte (£6.00) for a bit of well needed pampering, and of course to see if it lives up to the hype.

Home | The Monday Home Edit (13th June - 19th June)

Hello Lovelies! First up I should probably point out that my Weekly Homeware/Gifts picks now has a new name - The Monday Home Edit. I decided to re-name it simply because the last name was a bit of a mouthful, and I'm trying to switch things up a little bit in my corner of the internet and hopefully improve my blog a bit for y'all.

This week I was inspired by the idea of city chic. You can probably blame this all on the fact that I have been re-watching Gossip Girl lately, and am finally on the last season which I actually never watched. I'm not going to lie at this point I only really care about Chuck and Blair (because favourite couple ever). This week all the picks come from H&M Home! If you haven't looked at H&M's home collection before, I guarantee you'll be surprised by how good it is. It's packed with stylish, fun and super affordable homeware and honestly they are just killing it lately.

Lush | Lava Lamp Bath Bomb

Hello Lovelies! Remember when I reviewed Lava Lamp before and it turned into a bit of a purple disaster? Well today I'm trying out the new formulated Lava Lamp (£3.95) to see if it's even better this time around, or just leaves a purple mess. Out of all the Lush designs it's actually up there with my favourites, I mean who didn't love Lava Lamps as a kid? I used to think they were the coolest thing ever, so this bath bomb leaves me feeling just that little bit nostalgic.

Beauty | Pixi Redness Reducing Primer

Hello Lovelies! Today we're talking primers, a part of the beauty world I'm not exactly clued up on. Don't get me wrong, I've dabbled in that realm of beauty, trying out some of the favourites - Porefessional, Baby Skin and even Bourjois Happy Light Primer but honestly they always leave me feeling a bit lost. To Prime or not to Prime that is the question, and honestly more often than not I really can't be bothered. Beauty queen right here folks.

Lifestyle | May Pawsome Box

Hello Lovelies! Today it's another Pawsome box* review and it's honestly a bit late just because I've been so busy lately - but it's here at last so I'm a somewhat responsible blogger... For those of you who are new to the brand, it's a monthly Dog subscription box costing £19.90 per month with a mix of treats, care products and toys all for your dog. It's perfect as a monthly treat if you really want to spoil your dog, or even for birthdays or special occasions.

Home | The Monday Home Edit (6th June - 12th June)

Hello Lovelies! The sun has finally decided to show its face, and again it is really starting to feel like Summer (let's just forget about the week of rain and jumper weather!). And yeah, British people really are a bit too obsessed with the weather... Today I wanted to do a really bright and happy selection, because to be honest I've just been in a really good mood lately. Picks are from M&S, Temptationgifts (happyjackson), Oliver Bonas and House of Fraser. Enjoy!

Advertising | My Lovely May Advertiser

Hello lovelies! Today I thought I'd just quickly tell you about my advertiser who you may or may not have seen in my sidebar this May. She's a lovely blogger called Anna, who is currently studying sociology at Durham. Her blog is a mixture of lifestyle, beauty and 'general first world problems.' You can expect a mix of insightful articles on her blog, as well as some lovely bits of beauty and food posts. She's on Twitter, Instagram and Bloglovin' so hop over there and give her some love!

Here's four posts you should go and check out from her blog!

Thanks for reading lovelies - I hope you had an amazing week!

Lifestyle | May Papergang Subscription Box

Hello Lovelies! This month I was lucky enough to try another Papergang Subscription box* (here's my April one), as the lovely people at OhhDeer decided they wanted to send me one as a little thank you for talking about, and supporting their brand so much. As anyone who regularly visits my blog will know, I'm a massive fan of OhhDeer, and honestly receiving one of their boxes made me a tad bit emotional. But before I start crying over all this pretty stationery, let's get on to what's in the box (and I even have an unboxing video for you too!).

Lush | The Modfather Bubble Bar

Hello lovelies! It honestly feels like a long time since I've done a Lush review, which shows just how obsessed I am because it really hasn't been THAT long. But hey what is this blog without a Lush product review or two (or five or six or seven)? As some of you might know, Lush recently launched their first ever Father's Day collection, and I was super excited to see what products they had in store for us. Admittedly the size of the collection is a little disappointing, but the products it does have are spot on.
