Lifestyle | How To Work Smart, Not Hard

Hello Lovelies! You've no doubt heard the phrase 'Work Smart, Not Hard' a million times by now - and if you're anything like me read and watched just about a billion different things in the pursuit of suddenly turning into a productivity Superwoman. Alas though, with the threat of procrastination, everyone's Kryptonite, this can sometimes seem like a nearly impossible feat. But don't you worry, I've got you covered - here are my best tips on how to work smart, not hard. Don't worry, we got this!

Weekly Homeware/Gifts Picks (25th April - 1st May)

Hello Lovelies! Today it's my birthday and I just hit the big 2-0. To be honest 20 is a bit of a scary number, and I'm still not over the fact I'm no longer a teenager. For my birthday I'll be going out for brunch (yay!) then off to Uni! So for this week I decided I'd do a slight birthday theme, with pastels because I absolutely adore pastels as a sort of mini blog celebration. Wow my life sounds interesting... This week's picks are from Modcloth and Ohhdeer.

Lush | Sakura Bath Bomb

Hello Lovelies! People always assume that I've tried virtually every Lush product but honestly there are a lot of classics that I am still yet to try (never even used The Comforter Bubble Bar!) because I always love to review all their seasonal products. So this time I decided to try out the Sakura Bath Bomb (£3.50) for the first time because hey, I study Japanese so it just made sense. For those of you who don't know, Sakura is the Japanese word for cherry blossom, so it's an absolutely perfect bath bomb for this time of the year.

Lifestyle | Making Friends Through Blogging

Hello Lovelies! As I said in another post, I recently met my Blogger Bestie Rachel for the first time when she came down to stay with me for the weekend in London. We met online almost a year ago now, after we bonded over Eurovision - which is both of ours guilty pleasure and then just never really stopped talking. Fast forward nearly a year later, and we talk every day (literally) and to be honest I couldn't imagine my life without her. One of my friends called her my mini me (because she's a lot shorter) and I think that sums our friendship up in a nutshell - we are so ridiculously similar!

Weekly Homeware/Gifts Picks (18th April - 24th April)

Hello Lovelies! Today's picks have to be one of my favourite schemes so far, even though it is not my usual style at all. In fact red is one of my least favourite colours in a room, but here you see it in an absolute abundance. I'd try and come up with a name for this scheme, but it would probably end up as some absurd name like Llama Pom Pom, which let's be fair actually sounds ridiculously adorable (Ah random Vicky thoughts...). This week's picks are from Anthropologie, West Elm and Urban Outfitters.

Fashion | Quirky Clutches

Hello Lovelies! As a proud owner of a unicorn clutch, you probably will expect nothing less from me than a quirky clutch feature. I'm actually pretty sure I've done this before on the blog - so there you go, Miss Predictable. As far as bags goes, I am a little obsessed. If it wasn't for the fact that you constantly have to move all your belongings from bag to bag I would probably have about 10,000 right now to be honest!

Food | Coffee and Cake At Timberyard Soho

Hello Lovelies! If you follow me on Instagram (@VVNightingale), then you would have heard me absolutely rave about Timberyard, which has become one of my new favourite coffee haunts. So it probably doesn't come as a surprise that I decided to blog about it too, because hey that's how much I loved the place. I went last week for a spontaneous visit with my friend Zee (my partner in foodie crime, who you might remember from my visit to Bill's), because I'd heard so many good things about it, especially from my blogging pal Fran.

Weekly Homeware/Gifts Picks (11th April - 17th April)

Hello Lovelies! I think the sunshine has gone to my head, because suddenly all I can think of is Summer. And when I say sunshine, what I really mean is the sunshine we had a week ago because London has been living under a blanket of rain this week (yay!). So yes, it really does rain a lot in London, but because I'm a really clever human being I seem to never leave the house with 1) Waterproof clothes or 2) an umbrella (Vicky winning at life since 1996...). This week is an explosion of pink and neons, that makes me feel like I'm 12 again - all from Asos which actually have some amazing gifts and homeware pieces!

Beauty | Normaderm Beautifying Anti-Blemish Care Day Cream

Hello Lovelies! After not having the best experience with Vichy's Dermablend Range, Vichy got in touch with me again and offered me a second chance with the brand to see if I got on better with another product. I actually really appreciated this, as often one product from a brand can be completely wrong for you, but another can work wonders. So here goes, Vicky tries Vichy, take two.

Lifestyle | March Pawsome Box

Hello Lovelies! Another month, another Pawsome box* and another happy Molly. If you're new to the concept of Pawsome, it's a dog subscription box that brings your dog various treats, toys and useful items specially catered to the size and age of your dog. So it's perfect if you love pampering your dog constantly, or if you just feel like treating your dog for their birthday by buying one of their boxes.

Advertising | Meet These Lovely Bloggers

Hello Lovelies! Today we're going to take a look at all the lovely bloggers who were in my sidebar this March! If you didn't know already, I have two packages, the first is a £5.00 Josie package with all proceeds going to The Cystic Fibrosis Trust. And the second is one dedicated to Natalie, also a blogger who sadly passed away last year from Meningitis. The Natalie package costs £3.00 and there are four available each month, with all proceeds going to The Meningitis Research Foundation! Please do get in touch with me if you'd like to purchase a package, and go to the above Advertising page for more information!

Here are my lovely advertisers this month, who you've seen in my sidebar this March!

Weekly Homeware/Gifts Picks (4th April - 10th April)

Hello Lovelies! For this week I decided to go for a slightly minimal theme, because I found this amazing Eiffel tower lamp which I completely fell in love with - I mean who doesn't love a bit of Parisian chic? This week's picks are from House of Fraser, Urban Outfitters, Society 6 and Anthropologie.

Fashion | Quirky Shoes

Hello Lovelies! I thought I would do something in the spirit of April Fools, and because I'm not evil it's not a prank because I'm sure we've all had enough of those today... (trust no one) but instead a fun little quirky shoes post. In terms of fashion, and most things really I'm definitely a fan of the quirky - you will not find me often in minimal clothes that's for sure. I can also say that I am one of the pickiest people when it comes to shoes. I need that magical Cinderella moment, otherwise I will not buy a pair (That's how picky I am). I'm actually getting number 8 for my birthday, because they are just adorable - right? Also I apologise for the fact that the rest of these shoes are so expensive, but they were just so pretty I had to include them!
