Five Not So Scary Films To Watch This Halloween

Happy Halloween Lovelies! On Halloween I've always struggled with finding a film to watch that isn't either incredibly violent or just damn horrifying. Maybe it's just me but I don't like horror films. I love a bit of creepiness yes, and darkness, but being scared out of my mind? No thanks! So here's a list of some films that won't keep you up at night, but still embrace that Halloween spirit.

Halloween | Cute Marshmallow Ghosts

Hello Lovelies! One of the awesome aspects of the blogging community is all the amazing and ridiculously creative posts that people come up with. You just have to look at some of the brilliant Halloween makeup tutorials around, DIYs or Halloween baking ideas to see how much talent there is in the blogging community. Let me be honest though, as someone with the artistic capabilities of a teaspoon I find this all a little bit intimidating. I am awful at anything DIY or Makeup related, and can just about bake.

Fashion | Three Halloween Looks

Hello Lovelies! Halloween is dawning upon us and I couldn't be more excited. It's one of my favourite days of the year by a long way, as I love getting into the spooky feel of things and of course dressing up a bit. Last year I did a post just like this with eight looks, but today I decided to do only three. I'd make up an excuse for it, but honestly the reason is work work work! The three looks are Cosmic Creature, Bat Girl (how amazing is that bat backpack??) and Day of the Dead Darling. Rather than doing three stereotypical Halloween looks, I tried to branch out a little, which you can definitely see in my rather crazy Day of the Dead themed outfit! I could lie to you and say that I wear awesome Halloween costumes every year, but honestly I've worn my Gryffindor robes for so many years now because can you really beat a Harry Potter costume?! But for the sake of this post, I daydreamed three outfits I'd wear if I had all the money in the world...

Weekly Homeware/Gifts Picks (26th October - 1st November)

Hello Lovelies! You must have guessed this by now, but this week the theme for my Homeware/Gifts picks is Halloween! This week I'm planning to write some spooky Halloween posts, so stay tuned this week for that. This week's posts are from OhhDeer, John Lewis, Society 6, Urban Outfitters and Paperchase.

Fashion | Chanel Mademoiselle Privé Exhibition

Hello Lovelies! Yesterday I decided to go to the Chanel Mademoiselle Privé Exhibition at the Saatchi Gallery because everyone seems to be raving about it and it's also free entry (yay!). When I turned up however, there was a massive queue, that literally stretched on forever so my sister quickly abandoned me and I ended up queueing alone in the rain (so not so yay!). But once I'd got into the exhibition, it was definitely worth the 30 minute wait.

Lush | Five Gold Rings Bubble Bar

Hello Lovelies! Today has been such a busy week for me that my blogging schedule is a little all over the place. I've been going through a bit of a blogging confidence and identity crisis, so blogging has been a bit stressful if anything - but there's one thing that never stresses me out, and that's Lush reviews! Five Gold Rings (£4.95), is definitely one of my favourite products from the new Christmas range. If you've ever sung the 12 days of Christmas song, you'll know that pretty much everyone forgets the lyrics but the line that no one ever seems to forget is 'Five Gold Rings!'. So actually this bubble bar has quite a sentimental place in my heart, and whilst it's not the most amazing thing in the world, the concept is awesome.

Home | 2 Lovely Gays Interior Design Inspiration

Hello Lovelies! If you've read my blog for even a little while, you'll have picked up on the fact that I love homeware and interior design. When I think about it, I'm not even sure what sparked this love affair but all I know is that there's nothing better than the rush I get when I discover an amazing interior or homeware piece. And this is exactly how I felt when I discovered 2 Lovely Gays

Weekly Homeware/Gifts Picks (19th October - 25th October)

Hello Lovelies! Maybe it's just me but I always find monochrome to look a little bit lifeless. It looks really cool, yes, but I think with monochrome you always need to inject a bit of fun and life into it - so this week's theme is fun monochrome! This week's picks are from Love Frankie, House Envy, WeAreYawn (Society 6), H&M and Ohh Deer.

Ask The Bloggers #3 How Do You Tackle Writer's Block?

Hello Lovelies! Bloggers are definitely no stranger to Writer's block. It's one of the most frustrating things a blogger can go through, especially when you have the inspiration to write but can't for the life of you find the words. So for the third Ask The Bloggers post I couldn't think of a more perfect question than 'How do you tackle writer's block?' - because frankly I could do with some advice! This month we have slightly fewer bloggers than I intended because of a major glitch on my twitter messages, proof that you should never rely on just Twitter... But that said, I have four lovely bloggers to answer this time's question: One of my best blogging buddies Rachel, fellow Lush addict Fran, the lovely Samantha and blogging's No. 1 gent Aftab.

Lush | Bar Humbug Bubble Bar

Hello Lovelies! When I first saw sneak previews of this bubble bar, I was convinced it was a Halloween product because of its dark haunting purple colour. To my surprise it turned out to be a Christmas product, with the fun Lush pun Bar Humbug. Despite being part of the collection, it's surprisingly un-Christmasy so a perfect choice for one of my early Christmas reviews because I don't want to overload you with festive vibes too early. That said you can expect a lot of Christmas Lush reviews coming your way - you have been warned!

Food | Wasabi Sushi & Bento

Hello Lovelies! As someone who studies Japanese, it will come as no surprise I love their food but I actually didn't use to. My first experience with Sushi, involved me faking that it was the best thing I'd ever eaten (because Japanese was my life and I was 12) when really I hated it. In fact I loathed it, but funnily enough after trying it two more times I fell in love. Life can be really strange like that sometimes, and now Japanese food is hands down my favourite. If you live in a big city like London, you'll have noticed the recent boom of Japanese food. Suddenly it is everywhere, with Wasabi, Itsu, Wagamama and Yo! Sushi popping up all over the place. I'm a fan of all four but recently I've been visiting Wasabi a lot, whether it's for a proper meal or just Onigiri as a snack.

Beauty | Shea Moisture Coconut & Hibiscus Curl Enhancing Smoothie

Hello Lovelies! As a girl with thick and quite curly hair, I'm always on the look for something that can help me to embrace my curls. It's not that I don't love my hair, I do but sometimes the frizziness and tangles in my hair just makes me want to straighten the hell out of it. So that's why I was so excited to try Shea Moisture's Coconut & Hibiscus Curl Enhancing Smoothie (£9.99)* as it's a product specifically for thick and curly hair that tackles frizziness whilst adding moisture and shine.

Weekly Homeware/Gifts Picks (12th October - 18th October)

Hello Lovelies! Things have been pretty stressful lately because it's always hard to adjust back on to a uni timetable when you're used to being lazy over the holiday but I finally feel like I'm getting used to things. For today's post I wanted to share some cute/pretty/pastel things with you because there's honestly nothing I love more! This week's picks are from Urban Outfitters, The Kid Who, Jolly Awesome, OhhDeer, Toxikon (Society 6) and Unique and Unity.

Lush | Sparkly Pumpkin Bubble Bar

Hello Lovelies! After how much I enjoyed Lush's Lord of Misrule Bath Bomb, I was incredibly excited to finally try their Sparkly Pumpkin Bubble Bar (£3.65). I actually didn't get one of these last year which will probably surprise some of you - 2014 me wasn't actually quite so obsessed with Lush... Oh how things have changed!

Lifestyle | Do Teatoxes Really Work?

NB Slimming Tea Tox
NBSlimming Tea Tox

Hello Lovelies! Teatoxes are one of the latest crazes to hit the weight loss industry, promising to cleanse and detox your digestive system leading to weight loss and a 'happier and healthier lifestyle'. Before trying a teatox myself I found the idea of them really seductive. I'm not even one to really give in to weight loss fads, but as a fan of tea, I couldn't see the harm in trying a blend that could make me feel better and help me to lose weight. I mean honestly how harmful can a few cups of tea be? So when I got the chance to try Natural Beauty Slimming's Teatox* curiosity got the better of me, and I jumped straight on to the Teatox bandwagon.

London Adventures | Notting Hill and Portobello Market

Hello Lovelies! I have a bit of a confession, I am a terrible London-er. I've lived here for all the nineteen years of my life and yet my knowledge of London is a little shameful. In my defence London is a massive city, so it's near to impossible to really know it like the back of your hand. With that in mind I thought I'd start a series of London Adventures where I take you around some of my favourite places in London and some I've never even been to before. London is a city I absolutely love, but I really don't appreciate enough so it's probably about time I do!

Made London - The Design And Crafts Fair

Hello Lovelies! I've got some exciting news to tell you all (well at least it's exciting for me!) - I've been invited to go to the Made London Design and Crafts Fair! As anyone who follows my blog knows I am a big fan of design, so I can't wait to go on the 22nd and see all the amazing designs there.

Weekly Homeware/Gifts Picks (5th October - 11th October)

Hello Lovelies! For this week's picks I wanted to do something a little different and go for a classic,  old fashioned theme. Whilst I love modern interior design and style, I have a real soft spot for designs of the past and wouldn't even mind living in a house completely furnished in a Victorian or Edwardian style for example. This week's picks are from Zara Home, French Connection, Anthropologie and Society 6.

September Favourites

Hello Lovelies? So apparently we're already in October and it honestly feels like someone has pressed the fast forward button on my life. I'm not complaining though, as I really do love October for one reason - Halloween! Not that I ever do anything particularly interesting on Halloween, honestly I just like handing out sweets to the kids every year. I live in a place nicknamed Nappy Valley and the Baby Belt so every Halloween we have about Ten Billion kids come to our door.  It's actually a little overwhelming, but the little kids are adorable and it gives me an excuse to pig out on the left over sweets. Do let me know what you do on Halloween, as I'm always a bit curious! Anyway this month's favourites are a whole mix of different things. I've never really been good with favourites, especially beauty as I always forget what I've used so this month is a real mix of things that I hope you enjoy.

Lush | Lord Of Misrule Bath Bomb

Hello Lovelies! Today is a very exciting review for me as Lord Of Misrule is a bath bomb that I have wanted to try for absolutely forever and finally I got to use my first one. If you don't know already, it's part of their Halloween collection - and I know what you're thinking, it's a bit early. But pfft only 29 days... If you saw my Lush Halloween And Christmas Collection post you'll know that the Halloween collection is a bit smaller this year, only consisting of the Nightwing Shower Jelly, Sparkly Pumpkin Bubble Bar, Lord of Misrule Bath Bomb and Lord of Misrule Shower Scream (I see what you did there Lush...). Adding to that they also have essentially three Halloween gifts, the Moonlit Daydream knot wrap which is gorgeous, and the two cute gifts Heebie Jeebie Bat and Pumpkin (I picked up the pumpkin one!).
