SOAP & GLORY haul review

I've been excited to make this post for ages as I love Soap & Glory. They're a super fun brand, but they also have great and effective products. In case you were wondering, my sister has been doing an internship for one of Soap & Glory's PR companies and she let me review her freebies (I could never afford all that). My thoughts on the products are completely my own, and are not influenced by anybody. Hope you enjoy this:
Scrubatomic Daily Face Polish (£9.00)

If beauty products were men, Scrubatomic would be my soulmate. Ok... I over exaggerated a little bit there but I do really love this face polish. The first thing I noticed about it is that it has a really unique texture, as it feels very delicate on the skin and yet you can feel its effect as it polishes away at your skin. I also love the scent as it's a strong peach smell. There's not really much more I can say about this product, except that I love it and would definitely buy it again.
The Ultimelt, Deep Purifying Hot Cloth Cleanser (£10.00)

I don't know about you but I've never really used hot cloth cleansers in my beauty routine, so it was really fun to try out Soap & Glory's UltiMelt. I love that this comes with a hot cloth, I know it's basically just a flannel but it still got me excited when I opened the box. I was pleasantly surprised with this hot cloth cleanser, it left my skin feeling incredibly smoothed and cleansed. The only thing I will say is don't buy this if you react to essential oils, as it says on the box that it is suitable for all types of skin except if you react badly to essential oils (be wary if you have sensitive skin!). Apart from that it's a great product and leaves you feeling very pampered and your face very clean.
Feel Good Factor Translucent BB Cream (£12.00)

I really love BB creams, and Soap & Glory's one works really well. One of the things that is great about it (if you're pale like me) is that it's SPF 25 and so protects your skin from the sun. Moreover, it's not tinted, and so it's a lot more flexible in your beauty routine. It also works really well as a primer and keeps your makeup on even in this hot weather. Would I get it again? Yes. But at £12.00 it's a tad expensive.
Smooch Operator £5.00

Smooch Operator is a good lip balm and keeps your lips moisturised and smooth, and I think it would be perfect for me in Winter as my lips are much dryer then. Also, the actual lip balm is really pretty as it's a soft pink colour. I do feel though that at £5.00 it's a tad on the expensive side for a lip balm, but it does what it's meant to do. Maybe I just find it hard to be excited about a lip balm, but I don't love this product.
For Daily Youth Face Wash £9.00
I was really disappointed with this product, probably because with Soap & Glory I always have such high expectations. Firstly scent wise it's a little bland smelling. It also feels a little slimy on my skin, and although it does foam up a bit, when I washed it off my face it took a while to really get rid of the 'slimyness'. It does however leave your skin feeling clean, it just doesn't really seem worth £9.00 to me as I've used face washes that were more effective at a cheaper price. I've tried it several times, but sadly I didn't really like this product.
Hand Food Travel Size £2.50 (pictured)/ Normal Size £5.00

My initial reaction with Hand Food is that it seems like a really fun product. The marshmallow scent is gorgeous (my favourite thing about this). Dry hands isn't really a problem for me so I don't feel like I'm in a great position to review this, but this definitely moisturises your hands without getting them greasy. Nevertheless, it's a really nice product and seems to work well.
One Heck Of A Blot £12.00

The first time I used One Heck Of A Blot, was actually for my School Leavers (basically prom) and it worked really nicely on my skin. One Heck Of A Blot gives a really nice matte finish on your skin, and avoids looking heavy as it's so light. It's also great if you have oily skin like me, as it stops your skin looking too shiny. I also love the packaging, the pattern on the powder looks so pretty - almost made me not want to use it! Overall a great powder.
Clean On Me £6.00

I think this product is great value for money, as really you only have to use a little as it lathers up a lot. It has a really nice creamy texture, and leaves your skin so smooth and moisturised for the whole day. Clean On Me is a really great product, only problem is I can't stop using it. Packaging is so pretty too.
Scrub 'Em And Leave 'Em £8.00
This is quite a gentle scrub despite having large chunks of sea salt in it, and smells lovely. The only thing I will say is that it does leave your skin smelling great and feeling smooth but it doesn't really scrub away at your skin and exfoliate it too much. But, it is a lovely product and if you prefer a gentler scrub then this is definitely the one to go for.
Sugar Crush Body Scrub
My reaction when I opened this was 'Wow that's a strong smell' and in a good way. It does have a really strong punchy scent of lime, and I din't really like it at first but it grew on me. What I will say is that I prefer this to Soap&Glory's Scrub 'Em and Leave 'Em as an exfoliator as it scrubs away at your skin a bit more. But if I had to choose between this and Scrub 'Em and Leave 'Em, I wouldn't choose this one purely because I prefer the other scent. But really I think it's about personal preference, as I think some people would love the scent.

  1. I absolutely loved this post! I found the Sugar Crush Body Scrub left all alone in my mums closet and finished the whole thing in a month or so! I loved it as it's a really good body exfoliant and like you said it scrubs away at skin a lot more than the other products; I've actually seen a difference before and after using this product! Loved reading this, Soap & Glory has always seemed as cool and funky brand to me and now I know a little more about their products.
