Lush | Bar Humbug Bubble Bar

Hello Lovelies! When I first saw sneak previews of this bubble bar, I was convinced it was a Halloween product because of its dark haunting purple colour. To my surprise it turned out to be a Christmas product, with the fun Lush pun Bar Humbug. Despite being part of the collection, it's surprisingly un-Christmasy so a perfect choice for one of my early Christmas reviews because I don't want to overload you with festive vibes too early. That said you can expect a lot of Christmas Lush reviews coming your way - you have been warned!

Bar Humbug (£3.65) is a little smaller than you might expect as it's palm size, rather than large like The Comforter. It's a lovely deep purple, with a white swirl and a glittery shimmer to finish. Scent wise, this isn't for everyone as it smells like liquorice. The funny thing is I really hate liquorice, but actually I didn't mind this scent especially as it's not overpoweringly strong and weirdly enough I ended up warming to it. Maybe liquorice isn't so bad after all? With just a little bit of this bubble bar, you can create a super pretty light purple bath with fluffy bubbles, so actually despite the size you can probably get 2-3 uses out of this! For the bath pictured here, I used the whole thing and ended up with a dark purple bath which arguably would be perfect for Halloween! The water itself didn't disappoint either and was lovely and soft with perfect silky bubbles.

So all in all, whilst Bar Humbug could be seen as the Rudolph of this year's collection as it doesn't really fit in, that is arguably its appeal. It's a fun bubble bar, that creates a really gorgeous bath too - so I would definitely pick one up if you're looking for a Christmas product that isn't so in your face Christmas.

Thank you for reading lovelies! Do make sure you check out some of my other festive Lush reviews (and have a lovely Saturday!):

  4. I totally over looked this product last time I called into Lush. I'm super happy it's from the Christmas range as I might have time to pick one up. The scent, colour and the glitter element make it sound perfect. =^-^=
