My Personalised Blog Mug and Notebook!

Hello Lovelies! I just wanted to do a quick post to tell you about how I got my own personalised mug and notebook! The lovely people at Getting Personal sent me my own blog mug* and blog notebook* so that I could use them whilst doing blog posts - and I absolutely love them both.

I'd been meaning to get a personalised blog notebook for ages, because I always plan out my blog schedule every week and love to jot down names of good homeware blogs and make the odd to-do list too. So if you want to get one for yourself too, I'd definitely recommend Getting Personal as they have a very quick service (only takes a few days), plus they're very reasonably priced too with personalised mugs from £9.99 and personalised notebooks from £5.99. They also have some fun designs too if you're looking to get a gift for someone.

Thanks for reading lovelies! Have you every considered getting a personalised Blog mug or notebook?

Playland at Topshop and Topman

Hello Lovelies! Today me and my friend Amy went to Oxford Street and we had quite the surprise waiting for us as both Topshop and Topman had been turned into a Playland for the weekend! In one of the main shop windows they had a massive arcade claw game where you can win prizes from makeup to shopping sprees. This is controlled by twitter so you can literally tweet to try and win these prizes, controlling when the claw goes down and grabs a prize. The awesome-ness doesn't stop there as there are plenty of surprises and treats inside too.

Beauty | Five Mascaras

Hello Lovelies! For me mascara is definitely the part of my makeup routine that I couldn't live without so I thought I would share my thoughts on five of the mascaras I've tried recently (including the much hyped Roller Lash). I've included mascaras to suit any price range - from £2.00 to £19.50, so hopefully you all find this helpful.

Review: Lush's Milky Bath Bubble Bar

If you've been following my reviews of Lush's Oxford Street exclusive products, you'll have noticed that I haven't reviewed any of their bubble bars yet. This is for two reasons, one I prefer bath bombs and two the bubble bars are usually really expensive in comparison. That said when I saw this Milky Bath Bubble Bar (£3.75) I fell a little in love with its adorable design (how cute is that glitter bottle top?!), and it's not too hard on the wallet either.

Weekly Homeware/Gifts Picks (25th May - 31st May)

Hello Lovelies! It's yet another Monday and time for my weekly homeware/gifts picks. This week is a mixture of gold and yellow items. I discovered two new great designers this week, Cat Coquillette and kikki.K, who I have absolutely fallen in love with so they are featured heavily in this post. Happy Monday Lovelies!

The Cereal Killer Cafe

Hello Lovelies! On Thursday I happened to have an exam in Camden, so I decided afterwards it was only right to treat myself and go to the cafe that everyone seems to be talking about, The Cereal Killer Cafe. I went with my friend Freddie, who was a total grandpa and just got a good ol' cup of coffee. Meanwhile I was left with the somewhat daunting task of picking what cereal I wanted. They have a massive selection of over 120 cereals not to mention the wide selection of pop tarts, cereal cocktails, toppings and awesome drinks. If you're indecisive, you'll be here for a while, trust me.

Beauty | Birchbox Free Your Mind

Hello Lovelies! This Month's Birchbox review is a little later than usual because I've had the busiest month, pack filled with exams but here I am finally sharing my thoughts on it with you. The first thing that I have to say about Birchbox's Free Your Mind Box* is that I am in love with the concept. How cool is it that they give you coloured pencils so that you can colour it in? It made me feel like a child again, and must be one of my all time favourite designs of theirs.

Now down to the actual box, here are my thoughts on the contents:

Lush | Mayday Bath Bomb

Hello Lovelies! Today I'm going to be telling you about Lush's lovely Mayday bath bomb (£2.95). I have to say that this is one of my all time favourite Lush designs, it's just so cute - who doesn't love badgers? To make things even better all the proceeds of this bath bomb (minus vat) will go to the groups behind the Votes For Animals Campaign: Animal Aid, The League Against Cruel Sports and Save Me. What this means is that you've probably never had a better excuse to pamper yourself because the proceeds of this bath bomb will go towards tackling animal cruelty!

What To Watch Wednesday #5

Hello Lovelies! Today is the final post in my what to watch Wednesday series but it's been a fun five weeks sharing all of my tv and film recommendations with you. For you today, I have two films and two series - including my all time favourite thing ever, Pride and Prejudice. Enjoy!

Weekly Homeware/Gifts Picks (18th May - 24th May)

Hello Lovelies! It's yet another Monday and the start of a slightly stressful week for me because it is packed with exams but on the bright side they'll soon be over. Today's picks are a strong contrast to last week's, with more muted natural colours. The first three items come from one of my all time favourite brands West Elm, which I regularly visit in store to get some Homeware inspiration as I love the way they quirkily mix natural materials with modern design. Also among the mix are items from the cool brand Oyoy, Urbanara and Volpe and Volpe. Happy Monday lovelies!

1. Deer Boxwood Animal Head £79.95 (on sale from £159.00) [x] : Stag heads have been a classic homeware piece for what seems like forever but I love West Elm's modern take on it. The mixture of the faux greenery with the wood horns looks magical. There's also a moose version too.

2. Cube Terrarium £44.00 [x] : Terrariums seem to have come out of nowhere, but suddenly they've become one of the trendy must haves (they are all over pinterest haha). I'm in love with this geometric design, and almost don't feel cool enough to own one.

3. Reclaimed Wood Shelf + Branch Brackets £59.00 (for 61cm version) [x] : Shelves aren't really something that I often get excited about but this reclaimed wood shelf with branch brackets really caught my imagination. It comes in three sizes (this is the smallest) and there's also a much more expensive marble version too.

4. Oyoy Chevron Bread Board £25.00 [x] : If you're looking for a fun bread board then look no further, as this chevron one is bound to bring a bit of modern flair to your kitchen.

5.  Volpe and Volpe Natural Swan Vase £45.00 [x] : When I first saw this vase I fell in love, but then I questioned how you can even use it as a vase - then I saw this image and fell even more in love. It looks magical with or without flowers, and it's definitely something I see in my dream home. The vase also comes in a variety of shades including pretty pastels and a bigger size.

6. Zastron Cushion £29.00 [x] : One of the things I really love is bold prints, but what I really liked about this cushion is that it the lime colour it has keeps it feeling cool and not too in your face. Perfect for a laid back interior feel.

Thank you for reading lovelies - and as always let me know what was your favourite piece from this week!

Beauty | Simple Deep Cleansing Face Mask

Hello Lovelies! Face masks are definitely one of my favourite skincare products, but because they are so time consuming, they've never really secured a firm place in my weekly skin care routine. So you can imagine how happy I was when I learned that Simple have their own 'three minute' face mask, perfect for a busy (lazy) girl like me.

Lush | Lava Lamp Bath Bomb

Hello Lovelies! Today I am sharing my thoughts on another Lush Oxford Street Exclusive, the Lava Lamp bath bomb (£3.35). Lava Lamp is one of the products that instantly stood out to me - a bright orange colour, with cocoa butter purple discs, it's hard not to notice this one. If that wasn't enough, this has a gorgeous, super strong orange smell - a combination of three orange oils!

India Jane's Blogger Event

Hello Lovelies! Yesterday I had the pleasure of going to India Jane's Blogger event, a welcome excuse to leave the house and for once take a break from University revision. India Jane is a family-owned business that was founded in 1992, with a signature style of elegance and updated classic design. There's also a strong Chinese and Indian influence that runs throughout their collection, creating a unique twist on some British classics. Their store on Kings Road blew me away - it's beautiful so I had a really hard time cutting down the pictures for this post (and yes I know, there are still a lot!). But I thought I'd share with you some of the pieces that really stood out for me:

What To Watch Wednesday #4

Hello Lovelies! Today I'm back with the penultimate edition of What To Watch Wednesday, as this mini series will be ending next week! Among today's choices is as you can probably tell from above is one of my favourite shows Sherlock (because how can you not love Benedict?) and a few films as well. I hope you enjoy - and if you have exams save these recommendations for later (this isn't an excuse to procrastinate haha).

Weekly Homeware/Gifts Picks (11th May - 17th May)

Hey Lovelies! This week I have been really loving colour. Maybe the sunshine has gone to my head but I've been loving bright yellows and bold statements. I've been lucky enough to discover some really cool brands and designers, including Atissu who specialise in trendy tissue boxes and Patternbooth who are the masters of simple trendy design.

Lush | Intergalactic Bath Bomb

Hello Lovelies! If you've been following my blog or my instagram (vvnightingale), you'll know that I recently went to Lush's Oxford Street store and picked up a few bits and bobs. One of the bath bombs I got my hands on was this beautiful Intergalactic Bath Bomb (£3.50). Smelling of peppermint and having a beautiful blue colour with dashes of pink, yellow, white and purple and hidden popping candy inside, Intergalactic is definitely a bath bomb that doesn't disappoint.

Finding The Perfect Pair Of Heels

Hello Lovelies! Finding the perfect pair of shoes is pretty difficult, especially when you want them to match a certain dress or be a certain colour. I'm especially picky - so trust me you never want to go shoe shopping with me, it takes hours! So when the lovely people at Rainbow Club got in touch, I was intrigued to hear about their bespoke 'colour-matched' shoes.

What Rainbow Club do is they offer a deal where they will dye shoes from their collection into a colour of your choice. This can be any colour you desire, and perhaps the best part is that you can match it to a dress you own.  The service is perfect when it comes to special events like Weddings as you can get an exact colour match, so your shoes blend in effortlessly with your dress. Even though I'm not getting married (obviously), I was eager to try out the service and see if it actually works.

What To Watch Wednesday #3

Hello Lovelies! Today I'm bringing you some more of my Tv and film recommendations. This probably isn't the best time of year to be suggesting things for you to watch, as a lot of us are doing exams - and would just love another reason to procrastinate but even so if you have no free time now the Summer holidays are coming up so you can indulge then!

Weekly Homeware/Gifts Picks (4th May - 10th May)

Hello Lovelies! May the Fourth be with you! (I couldn't resist). Over here in the UK, we've had a lovely long three day weekend, and of course the birth of the royal baby, Princess Charlotte, so I've had a really nice relaxing time. The only catch is I have exams this week, oh no... Today's post is slightly later than usual because my photoshop kept crashing on me - but I hope you enjoy. Happy Monday!

Youtube | Lush Oxford Street and Pop Box Haul

Hello Lovelies! Today is something a little different - a youtube video!

I did a video a long time ago, but I thought I'd start afresh now I have a new computer with slightly better camera quality and give youtube a go. My first video (which will be no surprise) is a Lush Oxford Street Haul and the unboxing of my Lush Pop box I got for my birthday. Enjoy!
