Beauty | Zoella Bath Latte

Hello Lovelies! I'm writing this post from my duvet fort, half awake with a cold cup of coffee by my bed. Basically I've given up on being productive and have just decided to become a full time sloth - parents are very proud of course... Jokes aside though, I've been pretty under the weather lately and horribly sluggish so my duvet is my best friend right now, and honestly I could do with a bit of TLC. With that in mind I decided to pick up some of Zoella's Bath Latte (£6.00) for a bit of well needed pampering, and of course to see if it lives up to the hype.

Anyone who has read my blog for a while will know this isn't my first time trying Zoella's products, as I've tried some from both of her previous collections and honestly I was super disappointed. Most of the products I've bought from her collection I've only used a couple of times, and really I just didn't enjoy using them. I should probably say before I go on that it's nothing against Zoella at all, because I do actually like her it's just my experience. But anyway after reading a lot of positive reviews I decided to give Zoella's range another chance - third time works a charm right?

Out of all of Zoella's collections, Sweet Inspirations is definitely my favourite so far. The packaging is beautiful, with girly but grown up designs giving a nod to the art deco era, and glamour of the past. Adding to the appeal, the whole collection has a sweet scent based of macaroons which honestly just sounds like a dream. But of course the product that caught my eye is Zoella's bath latte (£6.00), like seriously how adorable is this milk bottle packaging? Long story short I'm in love, if not slightly confused because I keep wanting to drink it (don't worry I haven't tried!).

On the bottle it says that you should either rub it onto your skin, or put some into a bath under running water - I decided to do the latter. The Bath Latte itself is actually surprisingly thick and gloopy, which means it can be a little messy if you're not too careful, but also that a little goes a long way. For my bath, I put in a little and was surprised by all the lovely bubbles that appeared and how nice my bath smelt. The scent is a mixture of sweet almond, cacao and honey and it's just gorgeous, and by far the best thing about it. I wouldn't say that Zoella's Bath Latte produced the best bubbles or the most moisturising bath ever (Lush does give me high standards), but I loved that after the bath I came out smelling gorgeous.

But in all honesty, the one thing that I'm not a big fan of in Zoella's collection is the price range. Whilst it's not ridiculously expensive, I think it's a little overpriced for what it is, especially considering Zoella's young target audience. Yeah I know, I sound like an old lady, but I think it should be a bit cheaper, but that said to my surprise I actually did enjoy Zoella's Bath Latte. I guess third time really does work a charm.

Thank you for reading lovelies! Have you tried out any of Zoella's products?

  4. I've wanted to try this after reading some reviews but I keep reading to make my mind up. I love the packaging and I feel like this is the product I want the most cause it's associated mainly with baths and like you I love lush baths!

  5. That's a really helpful and honest review! I haven't tried anything from Zoella, in general I tend to think bloggers brands aren't worth the money anyways (but that's just my personal opinion). However this range is also my favourite so far, the packaging is gorgeous and the products seem quite good. The scent of the Bath Latte sounds heavenly, it's the product I'd love to try out the most - but again, I am sure you are right about the quality/price, not sure it'd be that worth it compared to Lush bubble bars for example!

  6. ive not tried anything and honestly, i dont really want to. I think I can get much cheaper stuff which will work a lot better. I know there is this thing about supporting fellow bloggers and their products, but its a little hard to when you hear all of this bad and negative feedback about how cheap the quality is but how overly expensive the products are.

  10. As adorable as the packaging is, I have to agree with you when it comes to the prices. Personally, I'd much rather go and buy two bubble bars in Lush for the same price as a Zoella bubble bath. That being said, I do love all the scents she has released so far! x

  11. I seen this brand in my local drugstore yesterday when I was cruising the beauty aisle but totally skipped picking up anything because I remembered your previous review on how disappointed you were. Good to know this works, will pick it up!
