Lifestyle | Life Lately #1

Hello Lovelies! I've always loved reading little life updates on other people's blogs so I thought for blogmas I'd try it out for the first time and give you an update on what I've been doing for the past month or so. All of these photos are from my Instagram (vvnightingale) so feel free to comment with your instagram handles and I'll check you out!

1. I COMMISSIONED MY FAVOURITE ILLUSTRATOR TO DO MY PORTRAIT and I was so happy with the results. Sophie Corrigan is super talented, and I could not be happier with how it turned out. So happy, this is the second time I'm mentioning it. Still not over it, guys.

2. I BAKED, BAKED, THEN BAKED SOME MORE. Recently I've been baking almost every weekend and I have been loving it. I've so far baked a carrot cake, honey cake, honey biscuits, Devonshire apple cake, marble cake and these adorable bear biscuits. And yes I did give all the bear biscuits scarfs, because they have to wrap up warm too - totally not just because I accidentally broke the head off one and tried to cover it up...

3. I WENT AND SAW ALL THE CHRISTMAS LIGHTS. Well, not all of them but I've seen some of the most iconic ones in London including the super in your face ones on Carnaby Street, the Covent Garden ones and this adorable tree at Kings Cross.

4. I PRACTICALLY OVERDOSED ON GINGERBREAD LATTES but it's not my fault that Costa make the cups so darn cute. This is literally the only season where I don't live in Starbucks. I'm way too obsessed with coffee...

5. I BRANCHED OUT FROM MY NORMAL COFFEE HAUNTS and tried out Tap coffee which is so ridiculously trendy, but the coffee is amazing which is proof that it is always worth trying out new places.

6. I SENT OUT CHRISTMAS CARDS TO BLOGGERS and it reminded me just how many amazing people I've met here. Like seriously, there are so many lovely people that I have met through this blog, and it's really just a testament to how blogging brings us all together.

7. I MADE AN AMAZING FRIEND called Scott who became one of my best friends in a matter of weeks. Apparently it's called a Fromance. But anyway, he's sassy, fabulous and just damn right amazing and he's even been supporting my blog virtually every day too. Such a sweetheart.

8. I SAID GOODBYE TO UNI FRIENDS and had a goodbye meal with my best friend Freddie at Wagamamas. Katsu curry and iced peach tea may just be my favourite meal EVER.

9. I MADE A GINGERBREAD VILLAGE WITH AMY but not from scratch (I don't have that great baking skills), from a pack. It's definitely decorated like a four year old did it, but I don't care, it's cute!

Thanks for reading lovelies! Have an amazing Sunday, and don't forget to leave a comment below and tell me what you've been doing in your life lately!

  3. LOL @ your cover up attempt with the bear cookies! You did a great job though and I though you gave it a scarf on purpose!

  4. Ahh, I love the gingerbread village! My little cousins usually make a Gingerbread house with all sorts of ridiculous edible decorations on it (This can be read as "they get bored and I go crazy with Chocolate buttons and dolly mixtures!").
