What I Loved In July

Hello Lovelies! July has been a very lazy month. I've been a little under the weather so I haven't really been blogging as much as I wanted too, so I hope in August I start to feel better and not be so lazy! The thing I have loved most this month is colouring books, specifically Millie Marotta's Tropical Wonderland Colouring Book which is absolutely gorgeous. I never actually expected I'd have the patience for them but I find them so calming! If you suffer from anxiety or are just looking for something fun to do, I'd definitely recommend trying one.

BEAUTY

As far as beauty goes, there haven't been many products that I have really loved this month (at least none that have stood out for me. Am I the only person who finds it hard to remember what my beauty favourites are? One of the things that has really been my holy grail this month, is the super glamorous Sudocrem which is best known for treating eczema and nappy rash (yup I know...). But what it's less known for is being a treatment for acne, and it really does work! If you have problems with your skin, do try it as it's an absolute lifesaver for me!

FASHION

When it comes to shoes I am horribly picky, so when I do find a pair of shoes I like it's a pretty rare thing. I spotted these lovely Barton Mid-heel shoes from Topshop and fell in love. After a long search for these in a size 6, I finally picked a pair up and they've become my new favourite shoes. They're surprisingly comfy and look so cool on. One of my best purchases in a while.

I also picked up this really lovely Ribbed Funnel Neck Top from Topshop which makes a lovely basic and looks gorgeous with a statement necklace over the top too!

FOOD

Me and my friends went to Bukowski in Brixton (there's also one in Shoreditch) yesterday and the food was absolutely delicious. I got the Smoked Pulled Pork Shoulder £6.95, which was an oak smoked pulled pork shoulder with BBQ and mustard mayo, smoked pickled gherkins, spiced apple sauce and coleslaw served in a brioche bun. It really is as delicious as it sounds! Plus Bukowski has such a cool atmosphere, so it's perfect if you want to go somewhere that feels a little different.

If you caught yesterday's post, you would have read about Sugar Sin - my new favourite sweet shop. Situated in Covent Garden (and online), this fun sweet shop is definitely worth visiting. For everyone asking me where it is, here's the full address:

TV/FILM

F.R.I.E.N.D.S

Friends is my favourite show ever. I literally used to watch it everyday on E4 after school from 5-6 and became probably a little bit too obsessed with it. So I decided to rekindle my love for this show, and start watching from the first season again. Turns out I can still remember virtually every line from the show, and what's going to happen next, but I always end up laughing my head off. If you've never seen the show before then it is definitely worth watching. Friends has the perfect combination of humour and really quite heartfelt moments.

PRETTY LITTLE LIARS

Ok so I may have jumped on the Pretty Little Liars bandwagon, but it was so hard to resist watching it when virtually everyone is talking about it. I'd already watched the first three seasons, but my sister convinced me to watch it with her from season 2. Now after one week of shameless binge watching we're on season 5, and things just keep getting better and better even if the storylines just get even more unrealistic and ridiculous.

Thank you for reading lovelies! What have you loved in July?

  2. I really want a colouring book. I want to start PLL but I'm in the middle of a series at the moment so have to wait, but then my friend told me the 'big A reveal' is in two weeks so I feel like by the time I start watching it I'd have had a huge spoiler but oh well I guess!x

  3. I only know Sudocream as nappy rash cream, didn't know it actually helps acne too. And no, you're not the only one who has problem trying to remember beauty favourites, I have to sit and think hard and long each time. LOL!

  7. Nice little round up to the month. :) I love those ripped tops. I just think they're very flattering :) I find it hard to remember beauty favourites too! I always have to look at the products and read them! Also I don't think I buy beauty products enough to find new faves really. Another reason why I don't write favourites posts. I love friends and I kind of want to start watching pretty little liars. :)
