Review Waitrose Pure Beauty Balm, Face Polish and Cleansing Wipes

Waitrose have recently started their Waitrose Pure line, and currently have a promotion going on that means all items in the range are only £1.99! Because they was so cheap, I decided to pick up three products in the line to see if they were any good. The packaging on all of these is very simple and clean looking, to go with the theme of it being pure. On the whole the products have naturally derived ingredients, which means that they are perfect for sensitive skin. They are also fragrance free, which I'm not sure if I like, because I almost wish they had some smell to them. Here are my individual reviews of the products:

Cleansing Wipes - (95% naturally derived ingredients)

These aren't exactly amazing cleansing wipes, but they do their job well as they remove makeup easily and leave the skin feeling smooth and fresh. They also don't irritate the skin at all, as the wipes are so soft. I wouldn't go out of my way to buy these again, but that doesn't mean I won't.

Beauty Balm - (97% naturally derived ingredients)

This is my favourite of all the products I tried out as you can use it for so many things - dry feet, cuticles, lips, elbows etc... Personally I love to use this on my feet as it does a really good job of moisturising and smoothing out the skin on your heels. One thing that's really interesting about this product is the texture of it. It has this sort of almost sorbet look to it, but when you rub it onto your skin it melts and turns into more of a oil. The only thing I dislike about this product is that when you use it, it does make your skin feel quite greasy. That said it's a great multi-purpose product and can be used for any dry areas on your skin.

Face Polish 100% Naturally Derived Ingredients

I liked this face polish but found it hard to apply without it falling off the skin. The texture is similar to the beauty balm and it does also become quite greasy on the skin. I think that the particles in this are a bit to small to really rub away at your face but I love the fact that the ingredients are 100% naturally derived. Plus, with this product a little goes a long way just like the beauty balm, so I'll probably be using this for a while.

Hope you found this review helpful, leave me a comment below to tell me what you think!

    1. Yeah, I think they've gone for a no nonsense approach, so instead of pretty packaging, they've kept it nice and simple. At least that means they're probably a good product :)

  8. Great review! I am never a fan of wipes for my face but I do use it to wipe my lipsticks off. It's kinda hard wearing lipstick when my 3 months old love snuggling up my face. He always ended up with lipstick mark on the back of his head, forehead and who knows where else. LOL!

  10. Nice review. I've heard that all makeup remover wipes are bad for your skin but I still can't seem to give them up. I'm just trying to find more gentle wipes like these. By the way, you just reminded me that I need to apply cream to the skin on my heels! Haha
