Beauty | Clinique Nude Pop Lip Colour and Primer

Hello Lovelies! If you live in the UK, chances are you've seen some of the amazing Clinique freebies available in this month's Glamour (the one with Tanya Burr). There's four available including two mini lipsticks, and so I went for the one in Nude Pop. Clinique is a brand I've never tried before, because my wallet and high end makeup have a pretty nonexistent relationship, so as you can imagine I was super excited to try the Clinique Nude Pop Lip Colour and Primer out.

One of the first things I have to comment on is the packaging, which I really love. There's just something about rectangular packaging that looks so classy and elegant. The shade is a super lovely nude, with a pretty pink undertone to it that suits my skin colour perfectly. However as I usually wear a nude lip with quite simple makeup, I don't like the shimmer this has as it takes away from that natural look that I love to create with nudes. Having said that, I really love the formula. It reminds me a lot of a lip balm or a creamy lip crayon, especially as the colour is quite sheer so is perfect for anyone like me who finds lipsticks can be drying. The colour also lasts a long time too, and keeps your lips lovely and moisturised.

All in all I was pretty pleased with this lipstick, although I'm still bothered by the shimmer! A full size version of this lipstick costs £16.00 so it is definitely a bit more of an investment compared to what I'd usually pay for a lipstick. But if you're looking to invest in a lipstick and want something long lasting and moisturising then I'd definitely recommend having a look at Clinique's Pop Lip Colour and Primer range.

Thanks for reading lovelies! Have you picked up a Glamour freebie?

  1. I got this one too and I've really been liking it, but I don't think I like it enough to buy the full size! For now it's a good one though.

  5. I already have two lipsticks from this range by Clinique, and I am in love with the formula. I love it when you can try more expensive makeup in cases like this; I really want to get my hands on the one you have got, the Nude Pop.

  11. I was so torn between the red and the nude, but in the end I chose this one too! It's my first slightly higher end lipstick, as my budget doesn't really allow for splashing on pricey makeup either! Pretty pleased with it for £2 though! x

    1. Yeah you actually get so much for £2.00 so it's an amazing bit of value for quite a big sample and magazine! x
