Lush | Granny Takes A Dip Bath Bomb

Hello Lovelies! Today I'm saying goodbye to Granny Takes A Dip (£3.25), one of my all time favourite bath bombs. With its pretty circle shaped design, it's one of Lush's most distinctive bath bombs and a real favourite for many. What I love most about Granny Takes A Dip is its intriguing scent, a lovely mix of pepper, ginger and lemon which makes a sweet but punchy scent.

When you drop this into your bath, it immediately starts to fizz away, giving you a lovely psychadelic pink bath with streams of blue, red and green. I've used Granny Takes A Dip over four times, and in every bath you're given a wonderful colour display that lasts a pretty long time - around ten minutes. This fun colour display is something that I haven't seen in many other bath bombs, so I'm definitely sad to say goodbye to it.

Where Granny Takes A Dip does disappoint is that I find the scent does disappear rather quickly after the bath bomb dissolves and it doesn't make the water as moisturising and soft as many of the bath bombs do. That said I'm very sad to say goodbye to Granny Takes A Dip as it's one of my all time favourite Lush products, and one that I always went back to. Sadly I haven't heard many good things about Granny Takes A Dip's successor, the bubble bar version as apparently it leaves you bath quite grey, which is a far cry from the lovely colour display Granny Takes A Dip Gives you in your bath.

Anyways thanks for reading lovelies! Make sure you check out my other reviews of the bath bombs and bubble bars Lush have discontinued:

  4. I never used this one because I am not a HUGE fan of baths, in general. But I always loved the name. So long, granny. :(

  6. I never even got to try it and I never will. It's so annoying that Lush are getting rid of some pretty awesome products.
