Review: Lush's Love Soap

Hello Lovelies! Today is another Lush review (I know, I've done so many recently) because honestly I couldn't wait to share this product with you as soon as I got it. It's two things that I'm passionate about rolled in to one, Lush and Gay rights.

Lush's Love Soap (£4.00) is part of their #GAYISOK campaign, with money made from each purchase going towards LGBT grassroots campaigns all around the world. After gay marriage was made legal all across America last Friday, things have really been looking up for gay rights but the sad thing is we still have such a long way to go. It's still illegal in 76 countries to be gay, which is scary because love should never be illegal.

By buying this soap, and taking a selfie with it you can help spread the message that you think being gay is absolutely ok - because let's face it, it absolutely is. I almost can't find the words to write this post because I'll probably just babble on and on. All I can really say is, I hate living in a world where my love is legal everywhere, but other people's isn't. Love is such a basic human right, and loving and accepting yourself for who you are and who you love, is so damn important. And honestly it's ridiculous we only have gay marriage in the UK now because I can only imagine the countless number of couples who didn't get to marry, or had to hide their love. The worst part is, this is the reality for millions and millions of people.

In terms of the actual soap, it is super glittery. I feel like you need to use it a few times before you're not covered in glitter after every use (but I'm not sure I mind to be honest). Scent wise, this is a powerful and strong citrus scent that honestly I'm not the biggest fan of but I know lots of people will absolutely love it. The scent does die down a bit when you've used it, which is great as it can be a little overpowering. The best part of this soap is that it lathers up really nicely and leaves your skin feeling super duper soft.

Thank you for reading lovelies! I really hope you can get your hands on one of these soap bars and help spread this message. They are limited edition though, so if you're hesitating - just order/buy one already!

  6. I´d gladly be covered in glitter to support love in all its shapes and forms. You are absolutely right, love can be tormenting and confusing on its own, we shouldn't make it more difficult by putting laws on it.
There is to this date no gay marriage in Germany, which is absolutely unacceptable!

  9. I absolutely agree with you. Gay marriages shouldn't be illegal and its absolutely fantastic that such a big country finally legalized it but sadly it is still illegal in my country. :c
