Review: Lush's Snowman Shower Jelly

Hey lovelies! Today I'm going to tell you what I thought of my LAST Lush Christmas product. Sadly, I hate saying this, because I am a massive Lush fan, but I didn't really like this product at all. It just wasn't my cup of tea. Having said that I've never tried any Lush Shower Jellies before or any products like this, so I don't know whether it's just because I don't like these types of products in general!

Inside this pot, this little fella below is folded inside it, who looks a tad creepy to me if I'm honest. He is super slippery, just like jelly and quite slimy too! On the plus side he has a gorgeous fruity smell of blackcurrant that I really loved and was surprised by. Attempting to use this product was a pretty interesting experience. I ended up in a fit of giggles because I kept dropping this jelly on the floor whilst trying to use it. Eventually I ended up ripping this guy's head off as a last resort (I know, cruel right?) and I found when you squeeze the product a little under water it does start to lather up a little bit. Honestly I'm not sure if it's me or the product, but I really had to work with it to get any result if any! Let me know if you've used one of Lush's shower jellies before, and if you liked it or not.

Have a great friday lovelies!

  1. I have to be honest with you, the last picture creeped me out a little. That blob is looking far from interesting and I'll be skipping this. LOL!

  4. I have lots of experience using Lush shower jellies and I can tell you that you are supposed to break off a bit and build a lather using a loofah. I think shower jellies, whilst they may be great fun and are innovative, are quite inconvenient and you're better off buying a bar of soap tbh

  5. Hahaha I probably would've ripped it's head off too. Sounds much easier to work with that way! :)

  7. Reading this has actually made me want to go and buy one so I can try it out for myself ahah! They do sound rather inconvenient, maybe you're suppose to break little bits off to use at a time?

  11. I can't use shower jellies at all unless they're smushed into a shower puff then they're much easier to use :) x

  13. It doesn't seem like a bad product really. You just have to get used to using them. :)
I introduced my mam to lush products and I am pretty sure she only knows how to use bath bombs.
She'd put a bubble bar in the bath rather than crush it under the water if I wasn't around.
But it doesn't look appealing I guess.

    1. Yeah, I think if I learnt how to use it properly it wouldn't be such a pain to use!

  14. I've only had one shower jelly from lush and it was such a pain to use, I could not pick it up in the slightest!
They're fun, but I don't think I'd buy another one!
