Review Blackhead Killer Peel Off Mask

Hey lovelies! Hope you all are enjoying 2015 so far (it feels so weird saying that!). I really wanted to do some special new years posts but I've been so busy getting uni work done before Monday that I haven't had the time.

Anyways, I thought that today I'd share my thoughts on these Blackhead Killer Peel Off Masks* (£14.95 - pack of five) sent to me by Stylelux. First impression is that they look like they should work, as they have pretty simple no nonsense packaging.

This face mask is really black, looks like tar and smells a lot like sun cream to me. The directions say to apply to your face, and gently peel off after 10 minutes of drying. I won't lie to you, this product is honestly a bit of a nightmare to use. For one thing it gets everywhere which really makes me wish it came in a bottle, as the sachets mean the product gets all over the place! When you apply it to your face, it feels quite horrible and sticky, but in my experience most peel off masks are like that. It also hurts quite a lot when you peel it off especially if you get it anywhere near your eyes or eyebrows.

However, it does actually work pretty well - I've tried it three times and the results have been great. It sort of rips out your blackheads and pimples and leaves your skin looking a lot clearer instantly. The downside is though that it does make your skin a bit red and sore after using it, so it's best to moisturise your skin straight afterwards otherwise it can feel quite sore and sensitive.

The verdict? If you don't mind the hassle of this product, and you are prepared to do anything to clear up your skin then this is probably perfect for you. On the other hand, if you're like me this product is just a bit too much hassle and quite stressful to use.

If you want to try this product out for yourself, you can find it here. Hope you enjoyed this post lovelies, what do you think of this product, would you ever try it?

  1. This sounds like it works well, but I'm not sure if it would be worth the hassle of trying to use ♥

  2. This sounds like a bit of work to use but the hassle seems worth it. It really does look like tar and I'm not sure how I'll feel with it on my face. LOL! I'll be checking this out though cause it sounds like a good product.

  7. I'm not much of a peel-off mask fan but I'm after something to sort my skin out after the Christmas/NY binge.
I had great results with Lush's 'Dark Angel' cleanser, which was like black grit, so these must have similar ingredients if they both combat blackheads. Definitely looking into getting some of these as part of my post-NY detox, fab review! xx

  10. Good, honest review. :)
At least the product works despite its quirks.
It may be painful to remove, sloppy and black.
But it works and it takes pain to be beautiful. <3
