Review: Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Blusher (Berry Jamm and Onomatopeacha)

Hey lovelies! Today I'm going to be telling you what I think of Soap&Glory's Sexy Mother Blushers (£9.00). First off I love the packaging, I think it's really fun. One of the great things about Soap & Glory is that they are always exciting to try as they put a lot of effort into creating a fun name and look for their product.

In terms of the actual product, this was a totally new thing for me as I have only ever tried powder blushers and never cream ones. One of the great things about cream blushers is that you can very easily apply and blend them on to your skin. When you put it on it looks a lot like lipstick/lip gloss as the consistency is quite similar but when you blend it, it looks like a lot more like a blusher is meant to. However, I do worry with this blusher that it would be very easy to over apply it as it can be quite hard to judge how much to put onto your skin before blending. Also, you really have to blend the product in as it doesn't spread out evenly as easily as if you were using a powder blusher.

Colour wise, I'm not the biggest fan of Berry Jamm as it's a bit too dark on me as I tend to prefer a lighter pink colour on my cheeks. That said I do really love the light peach colour of Onomatopeacha, as it gives a more subtle colour. The thing I'm not a big fan of personally is the glittery/shimmery finish this blusher has, as I prefer a more matte natural look but that is partly down to personal preference. On the plus side, this blusher lasts for a very long time, so you don't have to worry about it fading away and it sets very well on other makeup.

Also If you like the look of these blushers, there is also one more in the collection called Pinkerbelle which (unsurprisingly) is a pinker shade than these two - so that might be worth trying!

The verdict: Would I buy this again? Maybe. Best thing about it? Lasting Colour. Worst thing? It has a glittery unnatural finish.

Hope you found this review helpful! Do you prefer your blusher as powder or liquid? Tell me in the comment section below.

  4. I always use blushes like this because I don't like the powder finish, so I'll definitely be checking those out!

  7. Both looks really pretty but alas, it is glittery and I stay away from shimmer for my blushes.
