Home | Putting On A Spring Party In Style

Hello Lovelies! Spring will always be my favourite season. Who can say no to freshly picked daffodils, the prettiest blossoms, mini eggs a plenty and that British sunshine? So for today's post I thought I would talk all about hosting that perfect Spring party, complete with lots of cake, sweets and chocolate of course. To help me with putting on the perfect Spring party, Amara invited me to try out some homeware pieces from their site, and obviously as a massive homeware nerd I couldn't say no.

GET A CAKE STAND THAT SAYS RAWR

Because I've had a bit too much of M&S's classic caterpillar cake (no offence Colin, you're fab), my new favourite is Waitrose's offering, their Lucky Lamb cake because let's face it, this little lamb is just too ADORABLE. Plus there's white chocolate, and a lovely sponge cake inside - basically delicious. But of course if you have a nice cake like this one, you need a statement cake stand to put it on. Personally I've had my eye on this Triceratops Sauria Trice Cake Stand (£102.50)* for the longest time, and when I finally got the chance to get one I was a little over the moon. Design wise it's just stunning. I love the play on delicate and strong with the top in a elegant cake stand style, and underneath a tough looking dinosaur. Maybe not for everyone, but this Triceratops cake stand is a wonderful statement piece that I've fallen in love with.

NEVER GROW UP

That Peter Pan quote is one of my favourites because I'm a firm believer in never really growing up, and staying in touch with your childish side. And when it comes to planning a Spring Party or afternoon tea, this is never more relevant. Fun and childish pieces bring a nostalgic edge to a party, and will bring a smile to people's faces. This candy pot from Miss Etoile £12.45*  reminds me of funfairs and Charlie and the Chocolate factory, and is perfect for a girl like me with an absolute sweet tooth. Honestly put me in a sweet store and I will go absolutely crazy. For a more quirky alternative, there are these whimsical and absolutely adorable balloon animal style Poodle salt shakers from Johnathan Adler (£48.00).  They are undeniably on the pricier side, but if you absolutely adore homeware like me, they're a great investment piece. Plus I love how fun they are but somehow grown up at the same time.

How do you like your eggs in the morning? (Preferably coated in chocolate ;) )

If you want a fun twist on a Spring party then try putting chocolate eggs in egg cups, although be warned it's actually really hard to find egg sized chocolate eggs. Honestly, I was under the illusion that Creme eggs would be the right size, but turns out no they're way too tiny. So I ran around like a bit of a headless chicken trying to find ones that were the right size, until finally my dad picked up a Star Wars one that just so happened to be (thanks dad!). This set of three gorgeous Miss Etoile egg cups (£10.75) are perfect for a girly party with a quirky twist. Personally I am a bit in love with the gold touches and pastel colours, and they even remind me a little of Chip from Beauty and the Beast too.

I'm late, I'm late, for a very important date...

Alice in Wonderland is a story that inspires me so much creatively, so when I saw these Pip Studio Spring To Life Card Holders* (£18.00) I instantly fell in love because they remind me so much of the rabbit from the story. I feel like no one really buys card holders anymore but they add the loveliest touch to a dinner or party. These actually come with a set of 8 cards, but I left them out of the photos because they're a tad bulky and not really my style, but if you love vintage homeware, you'll probably love them. But all in all I love them, especially as they have so many cute little details like gold little bunny tails on the back!

If you want to see these products in more detail, you can check out my Amara Homeware haul video featuring all of the products here! But for now I hope you have a great week lovelies!

*These products were sent to me for review, but all the excitement over dinosaur shaped cake stands and balloon animal salt shakers is my own.
