Food | Spirit Of Summer With Dartington Crystal

Hello Lovelies! Rule one of blogging is that buying something for a blog post, is always a good excuse - at least we tell ourselves that. That in mind, I may have gone a little crazy and bought a whole lot of food from the M&S Spirit of Summer range. If you haven't seen it in store, it's a super fun, playful range with lots of quirky flavours and fun colours inspired by the Americas. So here goes, let's get hungry!

One of the quirkiest offerings in the M&S Spirit of Summer range is this Mojito Mocktail Popcorn. Ok, so I'm going to be real with you, this popcorn is very much an acquired taste as in both me, my sister and her boyfriend hated it. Practically the only person in my family who did like it was my dad, and even he wasn't too keen. Basically lime, sugar, mint and popcorn just aren't a great mix, but hey who knows I'm sure there are some people out there who love this.

Also, can we just appreciate how cute and adorable these little cupcakes are? They came in a set of nine but of course my 'helpful' family members managed to steal away three before the photos even started! These were super yummy, and came in a set of nine with three Pineapple and Coconut, Rocky Road and Lime cupcakes. I have to say the desserts are some of the best from the range, so trust me next time you go to M&S look in the dessert section because there are some really exciting options.

This bag of Lightly Salted Carnival Mix was tasty but as far as vegetable crisps go I have tasted better. They're a mix of plantain, orange and purple sweet potato and beetroot making for a really beautiful and colourful bowl of crisps. So like I say not the best, but I definitely wouldn't say no to another bowl!

For drinks I picked up some of their Summer Sour drink, essentially a sort of Lime-o-nade drink that I did like but I wasn't crazy about. You know when something tastes good but then has an aftertaste that puts you off? That's this in a nutshell. I much prefer their yummy Mocktail Mojito drink, so definitely pick that up if you have a chance!

This gorgeous set of four engraved tumblers* (£26.00 for a pair) were sent to me by the lovely people at Dartington Crystal and they are making me feel pretty darn fancy. They're all handcrafted and made from crystal, meaning they're light weight and just look pretty lovely, making them the perfect gift for someone who really loves the best quality. I asked for them to be engraved with my initials because I wanted something with an 'N' for Nightingale on it. I've always loved my last name (that's why it's in my blog name!) so it's lovely to have something that actually is personalised with my name on it.

Anyway that's it for today lovelies! I seem to somehow have accidentally started blogging a lot more about food these days, but you know I'm just going with the flow and blogging about what I want to. And honestly recently I've just been really excited about food (because FOOD). But enough of my rambles - have a lovely Friday and a great weekend!

  6. I absolutely adore their whole range at the moment! And they do a really good 3 for £10 deal when, if you think about it, 3 meals for 2 people for £10 is pretty darn good. The posh dogs are awesome. Great post hun, getting me in the mood for Summer :) x

  8. Great place, wonderful food with modern ambiance and comfortable seating with plenty of room. It is now probably one of the best event venues Chicago in my list. Perfect food, great decor and vibrant atmosphere.
