Lush | Sakura Bath Bomb

Hello Lovelies! People always assume that I've tried virtually every Lush product but honestly there are a lot of classics that I am still yet to try (never even used The Comforter Bubble Bar!) because I always love to review all their seasonal products. So this time I decided to try out the Sakura Bath Bomb (£3.50) for the first time because hey, I study Japanese so it just made sense. For those of you who don't know, Sakura is the Japanese word for cherry blossom, so it's an absolutely perfect bath bomb for this time of the year.

As far as Lush bath bombs go, Sakura is definitely on the understated end. Even with it's explosion of neon pink and green, it's one that I've overlooked for a while now because it does get a little lost alongside some of the bolder bath bombs. But on the plus side it has a lovely fresh floral scent, that I really love especially as it's not overly sickly or too much (like some Lush scents can be). When you drop Sakura into your bath, it quickly dissolves into a lovely light pink colour. To be honest, it is a little underwhelming, most because the colour is so light but I do like it because it helps to add to the calming feel of the bath.

All in all, whilst I found Sakura a little underwhelming, it's perfect if you love a simple bath. No glitter, pretty pink and a lovely calming scent - that's Sakura in a nutshell. And to be honest, as someone who has seen the cherry blossoms in Japan, I actually think it really encapsulates what they are like. Delicate, calming and pretty but in a lovely understated way.

Thank you for reading lovelies! Have you tried Sakura before?

  2. This is a bomb I'm yet to try and one that I've also over looked. It sounds really delicately pretty. Would be nice with some added pink confetti to look like petals. =^-^=

  3. This sounds perfect for me because I saw 'no glitter'. That means no cleaning the bathtub after a relaxing bath. ;-)

  4. Oooh I love the concept of these. My favourite Lush bath product is the milk bottle bubble bar because I'm actually NOT really into swirly purple baths with loads of glitter. When I have a bath I like to feel pretty and pampered and spa-like. So this would probably be a fave of mine. I definitely should try it!

  5. I think I've tried this one before, and although it isn't the prettiest spectacle in the bath, it's still asthetically pleasing, and if I can remember correctly it does smell really nice!

  6. Sakura is one of the classics I've never tried. I thought it would be just as you described it, very simple result in the bath and a floral scent. I'm more of a sparkles/colourful bath bombs girl, so I don't feel like trying out this one, although it is lovely for people who don't want to end up with a glittery bath tub! And by the way, you need to try the Comforter - best bubble bar ever! :D
