Food | Brunch At Miami Cafe

Hello Lovelies! Confession time, I have a whole list of totally Insta-worthy places on my phone, and I spend a shameless amount of time and effort ticking them off my list. And you know what it's probably a little bit silly that I go so far for my Instagram aesthetic, but hey pastel and pretty places make me happy so there's that. So obviously when I heard about Miami Cafe, basically pastel heaven, I just had to go.

If you haven't guessed already from the name, Miami Cafe rocks a kind of diner vibe but with a pastel and art deco twist. They have some pretty fun options on the menu like home made pop tarts, and various yummy pancake and waffle combinations. I've got a major sweet tooth, so obviously I appreciate this a lot. I started off with a matcha latte, which was pleasant but not the best I've had. The sugar cubes on the other hand were just the cutest ever...

Is it wrong to get this excited about sugar cubes? Because they are just adorable. I thought they were shaped like clouds, but turns out that they're actually card symbols which gives the place a sort of casino vibe. Guess who had to have three sugars in her coffee because she was playing around with them? Yes this girl right here.

Novelties aside though, let's talk about those yummy American waffles. Now apart from being cute and heart shaped, these waffles tasted pretty damn yummy. I admit I'm not a fan of the whole bacon-waffle combo? It's just weird to me... So I ate the bacon first and then had my waffles with the blueberry and syrup. And it was just super yummy. I mean you can't go wrong with waffles right?

So all in all I was really impressed by Miami Cafe. There are a lot of these insta-worthy places that I've felt disappointed by, but Miami Cafe definitely isn't one of them. It's super pretty, the service is lovely and the food is great too. So if you like the look of this pastel paradise, make sure you head over to Hackney sometime. It's only a short walk from Hackney central station, so is pretty easy to get to.

Thanks for reading lovelies! Have a great week!

  4. Err...waffles and bacons don't go together for me too so you're not alone! LOL! Love how the sugar cubes are in the shape of cards symbols, it does sounds like a lovely cafe.

  5. These waffles look amazing! And don't get me started on the sugar cubes, they are the cutest. I love when coffee places make the effort of having little things like that - or even the heart-shaped waffle. I would have questioned the bacon too, but it's great that it was delicious nonetheless. Keep sharing about great places like that, these posts are really useful!
