Beauty | Topshop Lipstick In Innocent

Hello Lovelies! A few days ago I finally caved and bought my first lipstick and actually first beauty product from Topshop. Part of the reason I picked one up is because of my lovely friend Rachel who has basically convinced me I need to try one, and also the limited edition rose gold packaging is just too pretty to miss! The shade I chose was Innocent (£8.00) which is actually a really intriguing colour. The best way I can describe it is similar to a Barbie pink but on the warmer side. Although actually the strange thing about this shade is that in some lights it appears to look almost lilac-y. In the product description it is described as iced lilac although in most lights and in my swatches it looks pretty much like a pink. It's definitely a colour that wouldn't be for everyone, but I really wanted to try a lighter colour (because my lipstick collection is packed with reds and dark pinks!).

Quality wise I am definitely impressed as the lipstick feels so creamy and moisturising on my lips and isn't drying at all. As with a lot of lipsticks though this doesn't have much staying power - I'd say it lasts about two to three hours before you have to reapply but for me that's pretty normal. It's definitely convinced me that I need to buy another Topshop lipstick as the quality is great for the price, so will definitely be the next thing I get when I do another beauty splurge.

All in all I really love this lipstick, and although it's a hard colour to wear, I will definitely be using it when I'm wearing some of my prettier/girlier clothes. Thanks for reading lovelies! Have you tried a Topshop lipstick?

  7. I have never tried a top shop lipstick but they do look really good.
They seem to have a good colour range too which rimmel kind of lack.

  8. Can you believe that I have STILL yet to try a Topshop lipstick too!?! Anyway, it looks like you went for a gorgeous colour. I tend to find any lilac/purpley-toned lipsticks really hard to pull off but I love how they look on other people. xxx
