Food | Sugar Sin Sweets

Hello Lovelies! As a child I absolutely loved getting pick and mix sweets. There's something just a little bit special about choosing the exact sweets you want, and even now as an adult I still get excited when I rarely do. Sugar Sin is a sweet shop that I've been in a lot of times without buying anything - because really as an adult I find it hard to justify buying sweets for myself. But yesterday I decided to give in and finally buy some of their sweets.

Sugar Sin is a brand created by two sisters, Anna and Josefin, who wanted to create a sweet shop with current and quality sweets inspired by their Swedish roots. They have a beautiful shop in Covent Garden, which has a fun Charlie and The Chocolate vibe to it, the perfect setting for sweets. But don't worry if you're nowhere near London, they also have an online store too.  What I love most about Sugar Sin is that they have a really fun selection of sweets, some of which I have never seen before:

Raspberry Monkeys Sweet raspberry flavoured jelly monkeys.

These fun little monkeys are super chewy and have a delicious raspberry flavour - not my favourite taste wise but I love the design.

Sour Octopuses This sour sweet will definitely grab your attention! Chewy marshmallow, dipped in a sour dust. YUM!

Ok so these are really yummy. I love anything marshmallow and sour, so these have got me completely sold! Plus they come in some really cute colours too.

Violet Screws A flowery hard boiled candy with a distinct violet flavour. These screws are sweet but also a little bit salty and are absolutely delicious.

Violet is a flavour that definitely isn't everyone's cup of tea but I love the mix of a floral and slightly salty flavour.

Blueberry & Vanilla Smooth vanilla mixed with sweet blueberry with a touch of salt. One of our best sellers!

These might not have the most attractive appearance but they are so delicious. They're lovely and sweet but with a nice salty kick too.

Blueberry Chameleon Sweet on the outside and and salty on the inside. This hard boiled blueberry sweet will surely surprise you!

Ok so I'll be honest, I did not like this one at all. It was just a little bit too bitter for me but nevertheless a fun sweet to try, especially because of the surprise in the middle.

Sour Skulls Friendly sour skulls with a deadly fruity flavour.

These fun sour skulls are really delicious - is it weird I find them cute?

Gingerbread Toffee Soft and creamy gingerbread flavoured toffee.

If you love gingerbread you will absolutely love these - they are so delicious! Perfect for Christmas time  to add an extra little something to a gift.

Peppermint Toffee Chewy peppermint flavoured toffee.

Again this toffee tastes amazing, just like candy cane. Will definitely be getting some of these at Christmas time.

Red Ferrari Why would you turn down a red ferrari? Especially when it has a delicious raspberry flavour and a chewy texture.

These would be perfect if you want to buy one of your guy friends sweets. I love the design and the taste, they're just a little chewy for me!
Toffee Mushrooms A tasty new addition from the mushroom family. Toffee flavoured marshmallow, love at first try!

I got these only because they're interesting, and didn't really expect to like them - probably because I hate mushrooms? But these have a lovely toffee taste to them and soft marshmallow texture.

Violet Prince We love marshmallow and we love violet. This is the perfect combination. Kiss it and it may even turn into a violet prince. A Swedish classic and hard to find anywhere else in the UK.

Ok so these are my favourite of all - can we just talk about the concept of this sweet? A magical frog that could turn into a prince, what's not to love? Plus they taste amazing too.

Thank you for reading lovelies! Where's your favourite place to buy sweets?

  6. I don't have a sweet tooth which might come across as strange for many but I just don't like it. My husband on the other hand has a MAJOR sweet tooth and he would die and gone to heaven if he sees this post, Vicky! LOL!

  10. I've been dying to go to Covent Garden recently but didn't really know where I'd go when I finally went but now I will definitely go to this sweets shop, I love pic n mix although it always makes me so nervous when they weigh it and you figure out the price because I always feel like mine will end up costing £98549, that's partly why I like the one in WHSmiths because with them you don't have to face any weigh in!x
