Review: Mua Limited Edition 5th Birthday Eyeshadow Palette

Hello Lovelies! It's been a while since I've reviewed eye shadow on my blog, which is a bit weird because I have been absolutely loving eyeshadow at the moment and have become a little bit too obsessed. When I saw this Limited Edition Mua 5th Birthday Eyeshadow palette (£4.00), it was definitely hard to resist because 1) It's limited edition! and 2) just look at THOSE shades. I feel like Mua has been really eclipsed by Makeup Revolution lately as everyone has been raving about their budget eyeshadow palettes (they are amazing to be fair), but Mua also offer some really great budget eyeshadow palettes too.

This is the second eye shadow palette I've bought from Mua, having bought their Hall of Fame Eyeshadow Palette last year,  which I still use regularly. First thing you should know is that the double ended brush isn't likely to last long, because it is so cheap so don't rely on it! The one from my last palette broke super quickly (after three uses) but I don't think you can really expect much from £4.00 in all fairness and I haven't even attempted to use the one from this palette yet. However, when it comes to the eyeshadows, this palette definitely doesn't disappoint!

From Left To Right: Taffy, Reveal, Peacherine, Shell, Thistle and Chino

My favourite shades from this palette are definitely the first six as I love the more subtle shades when it comes to eyeshadows. Taffy is definitely my favourite because it's such a pretty pink colour but I also love the subtlety of Reveal, Peacherine and Shell as it's perfect for a day look. The shade that I did find a little disappointing was Chino as I feel like it's not as pigmented as the others, especially when compared to Thistle which is such a beautiful colour.

From left to right: Penny, Fiery, Siren, Cool Grey, Obsessed, Smoke

The last six eye shadows in this palette are perfect for creating an evening look. Fiery and Cool Grey stand out to me the most as they have the biggest colour pay off and a beautiful shimmery finish. Again though I'm disappointed with Siren which like Chino just isn't as pigmented as the others.

Quality wise I don't find much problem with these eyeshadows at all. They are pretty pigmented and the shades I've tried so far have lasted me the whole day - so no complaints there! They are a little crumbly, so do expect a bit of fall out but other than that they are really great quality for £4.00 and definitely worth trying out.

All in all, I would definitely recommend this palette because it is an absolute bargain. It might not blow you away, but it is definitely worth £4.00 or even more! Thank you for reading lovelies! What's your favourite shade from the palette?

  7. As far as I know I don't think they sell MUA or Makeup revolution palettes in Ireland so I have to purchase them online. This palette looks really sweet for a neutrals lover like myself,
